WHERE IS KAS?
Kas is located in Southern Turkey and is surrounded by the Esen Stream and Fethiye to the west, by Kale (Demre) to the east, and by Elmali County to the north. Kas County includes 70 km of Mediterranean coastline and lies across from Meis Island.
Kas is situated mid-way between Antalya and Dalaman – both of which have airports. There are numerous flights to both of these destinations from most UK airports but the better choice is Dalaman as the roads from there to Kas are much better making the transfer quicker.

KAS LOCAL HISTORY
A picturesque fishing village with whitewashed houses, Kas is on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey, 110
miles south of Dalaman airport. Kas is a picturesque fishing village with
whitewashed houses and a little harbour with a marina full of traditional
Turkish gullets. Behind the seafront is a landscape of rugged, steep-sided
mountains. Out to sea is the Greek island of Megisti.
Kas was originally known as Habesos in the ancient language of Lycia and was later given the name Antiphellos. It is one of the oldest settlements in Lycia.
The old village streets hold a variety of traditional handicraft shops. Uzun Carsi leads to the monument of ancient Lycian architecture, the Lions Tomb which dates back to 4th century BC, which is decorated with sculptured carvings. On the west side of town you will find a Hellenistic period amphitheatre which is still in use today.
Kas is an area scattered with the relics of an ancient past, from Roman architecture to archaeological sites, so you can expect a holiday that will awaken your sense of adventure should you choose to rent our villa.
